Bishkek

The kyrgyz capital Bishkek has not much charm to offer. There are hardly any sights except the old soviet constructions or the lively bazaars.
The "Interhouse" hostel offers for Overlanders a quiet parking to overnight, toilet & shower and breakfast for a very attractive price.
Very tasty and cheap traditional food can be found in the cafe "Faiza", not far from the "Interhouse" hostel. Have a go with at "Boso Lagman", this was particularly tasty there!
To start into the night-life is the "Kvartira 148" (квартира 148) probably the best place. It serves good home made food and beer. For a dance head over to the "Promzona" and stay clear of the "Retro-Metro" nightclub, unless you want to see a boy-band in red skirts!
